When all our sundered times are one...

...and all our myriad worlds lie whole...

8/3/05 12:31 am - Par-tay! Woo-hoo!

Location: Deep Space Nine's Wardroom

All the muses huddled together. There were six of them, Nevin and Obi-Wan and Alan and Naru and Lincoln and Riley. Faint snatches of conversation were audible from the group, which had re-decorated the stark Cardassian architecture into a more festive theme, complete with cake and various tasty things, including bacon, an item which stymied the four non-agnates and had been included at Lincoln's request.

"--look, all I'm saying is that myriad is spelled with a 'y'--"

"--I know, I know, I promise that I won't go into Stealth Mode and steal all the cupcakes, Alan, why don't you believe me?"

"I wonder if Anakin's going to want any snacks? Xainese food gets boring after a while..."

All talking abruptly ceased when the door opened and the mun was standing there, her feline ears only barely visible over a large stack of paper that she was holding. "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope," she gasped. The Jedi crossed the room in an instant and relieved her of half the papers.

"Envelopes?" He asked.

Alan perked up right away. "Lemme see those, cobber." The pilot plucked a few from the top of the pile and began rifling through them. "To Ezri Dax...Beriani Edenost...Kasidy Yates...Esorel Damar..." His grin widened. "Invitations. These are invitations."

"Is Jordan invited?" Lincoln asked anxiously.

"And Lawrence?" Riley added.

"Yes, yes, of course," GreenCat nodded. "Everyone's invited. At least everyone I can think of. I don't know how I'll be able to Missertross an invite to Aedan, but I'm sure I'll think of something." She plopped the rest of the invitations down on the table. "Now, I need you all to do a very special job for me."

The Bajoran wizard shrugged. "All right."

"I need you to deliver these invitations. And yes, you can use portals, time dilation, wizardry, and what have you. Just get these delivered."

"Who's 'the Team'?" Riley asked, reading one of the envelopes.

"That's my responsibility," GreenCat said quickly. "Now, the sooner you start, the sooner you get back and have food, yesno?"

All the muses replied in unison. "Uh-huh."

GreenCat tented her fingers in a way that was very reminiscent of Mr. Burns. "Excellent. Now hop to it!"

Obediently the muses left, wandering their separate ways to find the intended invitees.

For those of you who don't know, LJ RP parties are half-OOC, so just have fun and feel free to steal all the cupcakes. I mean, if Nevin won't do it...*winks*
